When my geode cake went viral last year, I had no idea how popular this cake style would actually become. People from all over the world have embraced this new trend, and I couldn’t be happier about it. There have been countless geode cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, and pure sugar geodes created over the last year. Two weeks ago I put out a call on social media for edible geode submissions to be used in a special project. More than 100 artists responded! The submissions displayed a wide range of experience from the hobby baker to professional cake designers, including one from a very talented 10 year old girl. It’s my honor to feature all of their amazing sugar work in this tribute to the natural beauty of geodes in edible form.
