Our wedding style was rustic elegance. The ceremony was held outside under the fall trees that were in all different shades of red, yellow, orange, and green. The day was overcast but reasonably warm for the end of October. I walked down the aisle to Ed Sheeran, “Perfect” with my dad. I didn’t think I was going to cry, but I started to tear up when I saw my fiancé crying. We exchanged vows and put letters in a box to each other during a ceremony officiated by one of my dearest friends Rachel. We walked out to a Cat Stevens song that was a surprise from my father to my mother (as it was the song they walked in to at their wedding over 30 years ago). The reception was in a rustic barn on the property that has been around for a very long time. Most of the decoration came from the flowers and hundreds of twinkle lights that were all around the barn. Our first dance as a couple was so fun and intimate.
